GOOD TO KNOW

Your questions,
answered.

Find the details about scheduling, repair costs and what to expect during your visit.

How do I schedule an appointment?

Book online through Housecall Pro, call (949) 827-0832, or request a callback. Online booking uses our Royal Appliance Services scheduling page.

What should I expect during the service visit?

Our technician will inspect your appliance, provide a quote, and advise you on next steps.

What areas do you cover?

All around Orange County.

What brands do you service?

Sub-Zero, DCS, Thermador, Gaggenau, Wolf, Cove, GE, Viking, Speed Queen, Electrolux, Frigidaire, Kenmore, KitchenAid, Maytag, Whirlpool, Amana, Samsung, LG, Jenn-Air, Bosch, GE Monogram, Miele, Fisher & Paykel.

How many years in business?

Our shared Royal service team brings over 10 years of experience. Our technicians have at least 3 years of experience.

Is it a family-owned business?

Yes, it is.

Am I calling a big company?

We are not a big company. Our team has multiple technicians and a receptionist.

How much is the diagnostic & repair cost?

The diagnostic fee is $85, which will be waived when you proceed with the repair.

How long does it take to repair my appliance?

It depends on part availability. We carry many common parts in our trucks or source them from local suppliers. For major repairs, parts may need to be picked up from the supplier or ordered.

Do I have time to think about the repair and get back to you?

Yes. The quote is valid for 30 days. The diagnostic fee you pay is applied toward the final bill—you only pay the balance.

Will I be charged for diagnostics if the part is no longer available from suppliers?

Yes. We cannot control when suppliers discontinue parts.

Do you take deposits?

Yes, we do.

Do you charge sales tax on parts?

Yes. Applicable sales tax is charged on parts. The rate depends on the service location.

Where do you get the parts?

Most of our parts come from local dealers. We use only OEM parts.

What warranty do you provide?

We provide a 90-day parts and labor warranty on repairs. Cleaning services are excluded. Some repairs may carry up to a one-year warranty; ask about the coverage for your specific repair.

How much is the labor?

Our average labor pricing guide starts at $185. Listed labor prices are estimates, not final quotes. Your final price is provided after diagnosis for approval before repair work begins. Parts are quoted separately. View our labor pricing guide →

What if another problem is found after the initial repair?

Sometimes an additional problem only becomes apparent after the initial repair restores operation or allows further testing. Not every secondary issue can be identified during the first diagnosis.

If this happens, we explain what we found and discuss the additional repair and its cost with you before proceeding. We try to keep the extra cost as low as possible: when feasible, we charge only for the additional parts, or keep any additional labor charge minimal.

This is assessed case by case and depends on the additional work required. Parts-only pricing or reduced labor is not guaranteed for every secondary repair. Any additional charges require your approval.

Does the labor price include a second visit?

Yes. The approved labor price includes a second visit or other return trips needed to complete the agreed repair. Our technicians cannot carry every part for every appliance model, so some parts must be sourced or ordered after diagnosis. Labor covers the complete repair process across those visits, not just the first visit, and is not charged separately for each trip. Parts are quoted separately. Any additional work outside the agreed repair is discussed and approved before proceeding.

Do you charge hourly?

No, we do not.

Do you provide warranty repairs?

We do not. If the appliance is under manufacturer warranty, we recommend calling the dealer or an authorized service provider.

Do you work on new appliances under 2 years old?

We do not. We recommend contacting the manufacturer for warranty service.

Do you provide appliance installation services?

Appliance purchases can be coordinated through our partner company, which uses its own installers. Royalty does not perform that installation. See our Appliance Sales page for billing and warranty terms. Lighting installation is available through our Home Services.

Will you repair an appliance I have already taken apart?

If you have already disassembled the appliance yourself, we will most likely decline the repair. Please let us know before booking and describe what has been taken apart. We will review the situation before confirming whether we can accept the job.

If I have the part, would you install it?

Please contact us before booking to confirm whether we can use your parts. Labor for customer-supplied parts is quoted separately and may be significantly higher than our listed average prices. The applicable labor price will be confirmed for your approval before work begins. We do not provide a warranty on customer-supplied parts.

Can I bring my appliance to the shop?

We provide only in-home services.

What appliances do you not service?

Hoods, downdrafts, antique appliances, trash compactors, mixers, sewing machines, coffee makers, and vacuum cleaners.

How long does it take to get parts if they're not in stock?

Depending on the supplier, usually 2–5 business days.

What are your business hours?

Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM–8:00 PM. Saturday–Sunday: 9:00 AM–6:00 PM. All times are Pacific.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept checks, credit cards, cash, Apple Pay, Venmo and Zelle. We explain any allowed credit-card fee before you pay. It will not exceed card-network limits or our processing cost. No extra fee applies to debit or prepaid cards.
